For the first time, the National Basketball Association and FIBA brought Basketball Without Borders Africa to East Africa and Kigali hosted its 21st edition at BK Arena. Since 2001, the program has impacted over 4,600 young athletes from 144 countries, producing global talents including Joel Embiid and Pascal Siakam. Its arrival in Rwanda marked more than a change in geography. It signaled growth.Sixty of the top high-school boys and girls from 21 African nations including Rwanda, trained, competed, and connected under one roof. For TORI, the objective was to showcase that Kigali was no longer just watching the pipeline; it was hosting it.

TORI’s creative strategy focused on the interplay between discipline, potential, and environment.

The coverage solidified Kigali’s reputation as a legitimate hub for international sports development.
